"Lolita" is born as a concept-album, a tribute to the literary work of Vladimir Nabokov, already honored by Kubrick and Lyne. We think that especially today It has to teach us something about being different (even artistically and musically) and the resulting social problem, about the fear of themselves and the strength of not caring of musical conventions,
"Lolita" is a place where different fantasies and suggestions can dialogue, an ironic play on our identities, both personal and musical, and a trip into the lingering memory of rock waste, post-punk and analogue electronics that still today invade our musical imaginary, where a young Dolores Haze talks with Frankenstein's monster, and they understand each other perfectly.
But "Lolita" also wants to be an attempt to stand outside, in another perspective, recalling to the difficulty of deep access to a certain type of literature and knowledge.

Lolita is the second album of the duo Lourdes Rebels (Luigi Bonora and Rodolfo Villani) produced by the American label Aagoo Records, after the 2015 "Adventures in Snuff Safari". It was recorded partially on tape (support that we use to bind and mix the sounds), and then acquired digitally.
It's been recorded in various sessions during 2016, and in three songs we hosted two musicians from Parma (Italy) we appreciate very much, Gabriele Bertani on bass and Arjuna Iacci on sax. It was mastered by Cory Hanson (Wand, Ty Segall…)
